Service Description

Join the creator of Historic Yoga, Bethany and Julie of Holistic Heart & Birth for specialized Couples Comfort class for a transformational pregnancy experience July 14 10-11:30am. Prenatal Yoga at Historic Yoga focuses on movements that support the physical changes during pregnancy as well as any emotional ups and downs this sensitive time can bring. This class is attuned to the needs of the mother to feel supported with the many changes going on in the body and what may come up in preparation for birth. Bethany's training in Birthing Mama Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga & Wellness equips her with knowledge to help mamas support their growing belly with deep core, lower back support, shoulder and thoracic movements, as well as a focus on the pelvis, jaw & pelvic floor connection, encouraging optimal fetal positioning, and strengthening muscles, as well as help to release and let go. Class will allow time couples to share what stage of pregnancy and how their journey is going. Pregnancy safe movements, breathing practices, connecting to baby & belly, and a relaxing and restorative savasana compliment our prenatal classes. *Space is limited to 4 couples at $35/per couple for the class & comfort workshop. About the Couples Connection Class - Ending the flow of Bethany's prenatal yoga class, Julie will offer an added couples connection focused workshop. In this mini couples practice, we will focus on partner connection through breath, touch, and movement in labor. Hopefully by the end you’ll feel a little more inspired and in love! When you are in labor, or you see your partner in labor, how the experience is felt and pans out can in part be based on the connection and sense of support around you. If you are able to have a sense of trust, support, and connection to your partner in labor, this can serve as an amazing pillar of positive support in the birthing experience as a whole! What we we will practice in this portion: Breathing together as an anchor Finding touch that feels supportive Movement together in labor Encouraging oxytocin flow & a sense of openness!
